An Apology

Sorry for hurting you as I’ve done in the past.

Sorry for the many times I’ve made you mad.

Sorry for making you doubt how I feel about you,

In all truth I really do honestly care about you.

Sorry for being sorry so much of the time.

I know you’re tired of my apologizing, but at least I try.

At least I try to make things work,

Though you think I’m a fool and love sometimes hurts.

You’ve even asked me why I put up with you,

And I simply replied, “Because I care about you”.

Thus when caring for someone you’ll endure the pain,

Of course I care for you, and I’m never ashamed.

You say you don’t trust the things I do,

But you have to trust me somewhat because you shared with me so much.

Now since you’re ready to move on, I won’t stand in your way.

Since you’re ready to let go, I won’t hold on and ask you to stay.

I’m letting you go, hoping that you’ll come back

I miss you already, and it’s only the next day,

But I guess when you’ve lost love things happen that way.
