Ambition

Many things in life I’ve learned,

Though giving up was never one

So excuse me for my ambition

I’m simply chasing the rising sun.

Many things in life I’ve shared,

And indeed my heart was one

Severely battered, but not broken

I’d like to think I’ve overcome.

Many things in life I’ve given

And perhaps my love was one

But it comes and goes like a river’s flow

So I’m certain it’ll be back again.

Many things in life I’ve wanted

Many things in life I’ve desired

Thus I refuse to let my ambition burn

Amongst the blazing fire.
